Our Story

House of Riga is not just a brand.
It is a memory I chose to hold on to.

Long before this had a name, I watched my mother, Ritu, sit quietly with fabrics, threads, and books she had bought just to learn. There was no formal training, no big plan just a quiet determination to understand, to create, to make something with her own hands. She learned the way love learns
slowly, patiently, without needing to be seen. There were days of trial, of unravelling stitches, of starting over. And there were days when something came together so beautifully, even she would pause and smile. I think that’s where this began. House of Riga is my way of carrying her world forward of taking those quiet moments and giving them a place to live beyond our home.

Ritu & Garima

Every piece we create is rooted in that same feeling of care, of patience, of doing something wholeheartedly.
Not rushed, not loud, just honest. Because to me, this has never been just about clothing. It’s about where it comes from.

From Ritu,
who created out of love.

And from me, Garima,
who simply couldn’t let that love fade away.

Even the name carries us both
Riga, a quiet coming together of Ri from Ritu and Ga from Garima.

And to you,
thank you for choosing us, and for becoming a part of this story. 🤍
